Oil pastel over collage accepted as finalist in national Smallacombe Self Portrtait Prize
"Running out of tomorrows" is hanging in South Australia in the Gallery One Smallacombe Self Portrait Prize Exhibition. On an old mirror back from a dresser, I collaged prints, and then drew using oil pastels, my self portrait looking into a mirror - realising that time is running out as I age.
Still miss my friend Ruth
Some people come into your life and make it better. Dr. Ruth Cilento was kind and gentle, intelligent and learned. Ruth spent her life helping people. Ruth sat for me, and this portrait includes images of her sculptures, and her mother Lady Cilento who she loved and admired. The world needs people like Ruth now more than ever - strong women bettering health and working for justice - miss you Ruth.
