Press Release – Tricia Reust Art Exhibition Opening
TRICIA REUST AT THE GRAND VIEW
Tricia Reust is no newcomer to the Gallery of the Grand View Hotel. Both times that the Bald Archy National Touring Exhibition has been there, Tricia’s work was included as she has been a finalist several times.
Exhibiting acrylic canvases, pastels and drawings, her solo show includes previous award winners as well as new work and runs from September 5th through October 1st.
Tricia is a visual artist working in most media, a Master Pastellist with the Pastel Society of Australia, and in demand as a workshop presenter.
Tricia won the National Mortimore Prize in 2012; recorded a television episode with Colour in Your Life; and has been published in the Australian Artist and all four “Incite – The Best of International Mixed Media” publications.

Tricia was awarded 1st prize in Drawing at the Bowen Art Society’s 2017 exhibition with “Glasshouse Mountains 1”, which is mixed drawing media over collaged Art Spectrum Smooth Colourfix paper.

Tricia has won the Central Highlands Regional Council Award in the Emerald Art Gallery 2017 Art Award. The $4000 prize is acquisitive so the work goes in to the Council’s art collection.
Tricia was heartened to receive two awards in the Pastel Society of Australia Annual Awards this week, 3rd July 2017.
“Memory Door” won 1st in the Scapes, and “Bright Future” second in the portraits/figures.
The exhibition was held in the Auditorium of the Mt Coot-ha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane.
Nicholas o’Regan visited the “Too Close To Call’ exhibition currently on at the Pine Rivers Regional Gallery. Here he is with Tricia in front of his portrait by her, showing him in his Queensland representational outfit. The exhibition continues through to the 13th of May.

Tricia is an invited artist in the 15 Artists 2016 exhibition at the Redcliffe City Art Gallery (Oxley Avenue Redcliffe Qld) 26th August through 24th September, 2016.

Tricia was awarded a “Commended” and also won the Peoples’ Choice Award at the 2016 Pastel Society of Australia Annual Awards, held at the Mt Coot-tha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane. The portrait is of her father and titled “I Still Have a Story”.
Tricia was awarded 1st Place in Portrait at the Pastel Society of Australia Annual Awards 2014 with this work titled Truth Cloak. You can purchase a reproduction print from our store! Truth Cloak also featured in January 2015 issue of the Australian Artist magazine, with progressive photos of its creation.</p>
