These two portraits were the demonstrations from my workshop in Newbridge NSW last December.

There were two charcoal studies done on the first day, looking at the measurements of the face, and then using charcoal wet.

This one above is on a quarter sheet of Art Spectrum Colourfix, using charcoal wet and heightening with white pastel.

This one above, titled “Study – Scott, Saddlers Creek Wines” was done on the second day where we also explored using grey pastel wet. It is on a half sheet of white Art Spectrum Colourfix paper.
