I was honoured to receive an invitation to exhibit four paintings with my poetry at the Uniting Church in Redcliffe, for their Pentecost display.
Here is one with the poem:
Inheritance
She is born fresh.
Open to learning of love.
Dependent on others to live.
Ready to lean on the Lamb.
She is not evil.
She’s straight from the Divine.
No chain with the devil.
No link there to damn.
She comes to earth pure.
Of God’s image unbroken.
Of hope fact and token.
Of praise to be spoken.
Bring light to her world.
An inheritance of might –
and sacrament of sight –
and faith her birth-right.
